I am an award-winning offline picture editor in the film and television industry, with credits spanning multiple genres, networks, studios, and regions.
 
Having honed my craft over a variety of scripted long-form projects, my appreciation for what is possible in the edit suite has only grown. Editing is one of the most powerful storytelling tools in filmmaking, and translating a creative vision from raw dailies to screen requires a deep understanding of character, performance, visual language, and rhythm.
 
My greatest strength as an editor is my instinct for pacing, knowing when to build momentum, when to allow a moment to breathe, and how to carry the emotion of a scene from mounting tension to dramatic resolution. It is the aspect of the film medium that is most unique to the editing craft. As a trained musician, I also bring a strong sensitivity to the relationship between image and sound, with a particular talent for pairing score and picture to elevate the audience experience. 
 
Collaboration is where the real magic of filmmaking occurs. I enjoy working with directors, producers, writers, and executives, contributing meaningfully to the creative process as we work together to shape the best possible version of the project. I work quickly and efficiently, am incredibly organised, and strive to be a great team player across departments and with my post-production colleagues.
 
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, I have also edited in London, Johannesburg, and Morocco. Remote workflows have enabled me to collaborate successfully across continents and time zones. I carry both South African and German passports, and am available for work anywhere in the world.
